Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) & Hotel Policies
All guests of The LimeTree Hotel Kuching ("Hotel"), regardless of booking channel or reservation method, is subject to the following hotel policies where applicable:
Check-in: 2.00pm on day of arrival
Check-out: 12.00pm on day of departure
Age & ID Requirement
Valid photo identification is required at check-in for all guests. Foreign guests must present a valid passport. Photo identification must match the name on the reservation. Guests must be a minimum of 21 years old and present a valid photo ID upon check-in.
The hotel will make considerable efforts to accommodate early arrivals. Should you wish to occupy the room before 2:00 pm, we recommend placing a reservation a night prior to your arrival.
The hotel will accommodate guests requesting early departures. All reservations and rate plans will have their length of stay confirmed at check-in. Guests wishing to change their departure date after check-in may be charged an early departure fee equal to 100% of the confirmed reservation, depending on the bookings terms. Prepaid reservations will be charged an early departure fee equal to 100% of the reservation.
Guests requesting late check-outs will be accommodated based on availability. If the room is required till 6:00pm, a half day charge on the agreed rate is applicable. Check-out after 6:00pm will be at a full day charge. Please refer to our Front Desk for other late check-out fees at various times. Prior arrangement is strongly recommended.
Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Prices quoted are inclusive of 6% Sales & Services Tax (SST) as set by the Malaysian Government since 1 Sep 2018. Prices quoted do not include Tourism Tax.
Foreign tourists (Non-Malaysian without a relevant work permit) are required to pay Tourism Tax (TTx) of RM10 per room per night is applicable. Malaysian nationals and Malaysian Permanent Residents holding a MyPR card are exempted from paying TTx.
Payments & Deposits
All charges due to the guest may be paid with a valid credit card or in local currency Ringgit Malaysia (RM).
Upon check-in, a RM100 deposit in cash or credit card verification is required for incidental charges.
- By Cash: The balance of cash deposits will be refundable upon check-out.
- By Credit Card: If there are no incidental charges, the credit card verification will be cancelled. This cancellation involves a process of our front desk staff calling up our merchant bank, who will in turn contact your credit card company regarding this cancellation. This cancellation process may take 1 to 4 weeks, depending on your credit card company.
Our hotel front desk and dining outlets are pleased to accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay and MyDebit. Only the hotel front desk can accept American Express.
We are unable to accept or handle any transactions involving personal cheques.
Connecting rooms are granted upon request, subject to availability.
We are pleased to offer baby cots in all guest rooms and suites free of charge upon request, subject to availability.
Extra mattress is our custom foam bedding which can be provided upon request, subject to availability and is chargeable. It can be provided for all rooms except Deluxe room due to the room layout. Please contact us for the latest pricing for an extra mattress.
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to guests meeting the Malaysian legal drinking age (21 years old) with a valid photo ID.
We are pleased to receive incoming packages free of charge for registered hotel guests up to 30 days prior to their arrival. However, guests are subject to destination and carrier fees for outgoing packages.
Smoking (including use of electronic cigarettes) is not permitted in any of our guest rooms and hotel areas except for designated outdoor areas as advised by our Front Desk. Guests smoking in a non-smoking room are subject to a RM150 cleaning fee.
Restrictions & Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted in any of our guest rooms and hotel premises:
- Strong smelling foods and fruits (such as durian and jackfruit based items)
- Any electrical appliances and/or equipment for heating and/or cooking purposes
- Decoration of any sort or fixtures on the wall, floor and ceiling
We, the Hotel reserves the right to remove and/or confiscate any of the above items found in any Hotel room immediately without notice to the guest and to charge the guest for any costs incurred for taking such action or for any loss or damage caused to the Hotel room, premises or property or to any Hotel guests or third party as a result of your failure to comply with this policy.
We also further reserve the right to ask the guest to leave and remove their belongings from the room immediately if the Hotel deems that the guest has used the Hotel room in an irresponsible manner or in a manner that will compromise the safety of, or cause damage and/or harm to the Hotel room, the Hotel premises, the other Hotel guests, our staff or any other persons or the reputation of The LimeTree Hotel, without any compensation and/or any reimbursement to the guest.
We regret to inform our guests that pets (including service animals) are not permitted at the hotel due to our no-pets policy, based on our local council's restrictions.
